Emails should be sent to the VST at the email addresses listed above *AND* your supervising ST with the following subject line:

Game Date / Your Name / Your Cam# / Your ST’s Name / Your ST’s Email / Your PC’s Name / Your PC’s Class / Your PC’s Affiliation

and include the following information:

a) why you are coming to Athens, what you wish to achieve, who if anyone you are coming to visit? b) how you are traveling and arriving in Athens? if not yourself, who is funding the journey? how you are dealing with customs and immigration? c) a list of any weapons or other contraband you are bringing into Athens, and how you are getting it through customs. d) where you are staying while here? e) how are you feeding, replenishing mana/glamour, etc?

To attend a game of the GIRC domain, in any venue, you should send your character sheet, together with answer to the above question. Other venue specific requirements imposed by the GIRC VST may be asked for as needed.

GIRC Checkin Policy:

The 48 hour rule was lifted. The check in policy is as follows:

Given that GIRC is an online game, and the ease of attending is therefore much higher than a game you would have to physically travel to OOC, we understand the desire of the Camarilla membership to have the freedom to attend games on short notice. GIRC welcomes all visitors, but ask that when you travel to the GIRC game you copy your storyteller on the e-mail with your sheet and travel arrangements. The ST staff retains the right to refuse check-in once game has started, or to delay the check in of any player who arrives after game start until such a time as checking in the player will not cause a disruption to the flow of the game. If the GIRC staff finds at any point that your character would have been unable to attend the game (due to time freeze, proxy issues, or any other reason) your XP for the game will be withdrawn and appropriate disciplinary measures will be taken.

*No* interaction within GIRC borders is considered soft RP Only. There is always a risk involved. If you send character sheets to any other account besides the ones listed above they WILL NOT be accepted.

GIRC Domain Games are played out on IRC. GIRC Games occur within the Greater Metropolitan Athens, Greece area sometimes referred as Attica. When you are playing with us, your PC is actually proxied to Athens, Greece. You are remaining in control of playing it. You type out your PC’s actions and what it says and does. Our Venue Storytellers remain in control of running games, just as this occurs during in-person LARP games.

GIR Members whose home domains do not have a VSS for the venue that they want to play in are welcome to attach their PCs to GIRC. If locating your character in Greece does not appeal to you, you still have options. See the GIR NST & GIRC DST for more information.

GIRC Storytellers reserve the right to refuse any proxy or PC or late request into the game and reserve the right to ask you not to use powers that may be unbalancing to game play. The Venue Storytellers and GIRC Coordinator personnel reserve the right to deal with player disruptions properly and accordingly. Players who cause overly large problems or disruptions may find their experience point rewards reduced or eliminated, their PCs kicked from the game, and the issue referred to the appropriate coordinator chain for resolution.

Greek is the default language of the GIRC Athens game. If your character is speaking a language besides Greek, please indicate that in your nickname on IRC as either John_Smith[Eng] or *Eng* “Hello, my name is John Smith.” If you’re not doing this, then it is assumed that your PC is speaking Greek while the player continues typing what is said in English.

All nicks and tags attached to nicknames are to be left up to the VST in charge of the Game/Scene. If you have any problems with a tag, please raise it with the VST and VST alone. There will be No open arguments or discussions in the Channel about this. Whether intentional or unintentional, it causes stress & problems. Don’t do it in #girc-ooc.

[Camarilla-announce] All Call: (2) Project Leads: Dark Points Wiki

The AMST Dark Points on the Map is hiring for two (2) positions for
Project Lead: Dark Points Wiki.

Duties will include:
-shifting the old Dark Points Wiki code over to the new Camarilla
wiki, and establishing a Dark Points on the Map page.
-Maintaining the Dark Points wiki. Updates will be sent from the AMST
DPOTM and AAMST DPOTM: Requiem to an email address shared by both
Project Leads, who will be expected to prioritize and interpret for
posting to the wiki.
-Make regular (monthly) progress reports to the AMST Dark Points on
the Map explaining your progress and the work that you have done.

Applicants should possess:
-Excellent knowledge of wiki coding. This job
-Strong work ethic and regular internet access, with the ability to do
a 48-hour turn around on email.
-Ability to organize and multitask. You’re going to be getting sent a
LOT of information right off the bat, so be aware that you will need
to prioritize and organize it.
-Ability to interpret the salient facts from a character background or
settings document to find notable instances that should be placed on
the wiki (such as noting that Bob Johnson was the Prince of Bucharest
from 1571-1814, during which time he waged a pogrom against the Lancea
Sanctum before Bishop Kent drove him out of town and took over).
-Teamwork. There is so much data coming down the pipe right away that
the two PLs will need to be able to coordinate with each other,
marking off information as “done” in the inbox, and keeping a running
tally of what each of them has done in the month.
-Very strong ethics. You’ll be in a position to review a lot of
character background and possibly private information, as well as the
workings of certain Global plot items. Please keep this in mind when
applying. While this is not an NDA position, disclosure of this
information or use for personal purposes *will* constitute grounds for
Disciplinary Action.

Please email applications to amst.dpotm@gmail.com and include in them
the following information:
-Name
-Cam Number
-DC and DST name and contacts
-IRL Resume or CV
**Please note both Cam and Mundane computer experience**
-Cam Resume (citing at least 3 Cam references [including name, Cam #,
and email address])
-Statement of Purpose. No more than 1 paragraph. Outline why you
think you’re the best candidate for the job. Please include the link
to 1-3 wikis you have coded that do *not* involve the standard
character templates.
-List of all disciplinary actions filed against you in the past 2 years

C. If you know that something is not the intent of the Camarilla’s
interpretation of the books, departs drastically from common sense, or
is otherwise wrong but appears to be technically possible due to vague
wording or legal loophole, don’t do it. Don’t be that guy (or gal).

The wind whispers of change. And change begets change. What will the

future hold for the Kindred of Athens? What pattern will their choices

knit in the threads that are their fate? And how will it play out in the

long run?

—–

VST Notes we’re playing under the Requiem VSS which can be found here!

http://girc.camarilla-resource.net/index.php?title=Shadows_of_Olympus_VSS

I’d like all those attending to have their various Precasts ready to PM

to the VST, along with a paragraph or so on feeding. This way we can

REALLY speed up the VSS Precasts and Feeding. Covenant locals are able

to help visitors with feeding pointers! All your PC has to do is ask. :)

Autumn has come to Athens with a whisper of frost and the rattle of
bones. Carnivorous mists creep through the Hedge, circling the Bone
Forest as the blood spatters from the brilliant crimson blossoms. Autumn
has come, bringing death and swift decay… and the rustle of leathern
wings. What will the Lost of Athens find when they look to the chill winds?

Travel Advisory: the Hedge in Athens, Greece, is a very dangerous place.
Any time a PC enters the Hedge it is with the risk of being mangled or
mutilated by Hedge creatures, wandering off the trod never to be seen
again, taken by unscrupulous Hobs for sale in flesh markets, recapture
by the occasional wandering True Fae – oh yes, and PC death. This
applies for those visitors wishing to travel to games, and locals who
wish to visit the Market to chat with the Hobs there. To state it
plainly – *any and all Hedge visits are considered hard RP*. It must
have Storyteller oversight at the very least. I would highly recommend
scheduling such interludes with myself first, as I am always happy to
play with PC’s in the Hedge but am not always available immediately

be asked for as needed.

presiding ST’s decision is considered to be correct. If a player
disagrees with such a decision, they should wait until the game session
has finished to raise their concerns to the ST. Alternatively they may
lodge an appeal with the ST chain.
The World of Darkness is a setting which deals with adult topics
including, but not limited to, death, abduction, abuse and insanity. It
is the responsibility of the player to notify the presiding ST if they
become uncomfortable with any of the themes present in the game at any
point.

GIRC Storytellers reserve the right to refuse any proxy or PC or late
request into the game and reserve the right to ask you not to use powers
that may be unbalancing to game play. The Venue Storytellers and GIRC
Coordinator personnel reserve the right to deal with player disruptions
properly and accordingly. Players who cause overly large problems or
disruptions may find their experience point rewards reduced or
eliminated, their PCs kicked from the game, and the issue referred to
the appropriate coordinator chain for resolution. The GIRC Lost VST will
not tolerate arguing with the staff. Arguing during game halts game
play, impacts other players’ fun, and will result in your ejection from
the game, and possible followup actions with the appropriate staff. Such
discussions are welcome to be finished after the game time has finished.

Greek is the default language of the GIRC Athens game. If your character
is speaking a language besides Greek, please indicate that in your
nickname on IRC as either John_Smith[Eng] or *Eng* “Hello,
my name is John Smith. If you’re not doing this, then it is assumed that
your PC is speaking Greek while the player continues typing what is said
in English.

All nicks and tags attached to nicknames are to be left up to the VST in
charge of the Game/Scene. If you have any problems with a tag, please
raise it with the VST and VST alone. There will be No open arguments or
discussions in the Channel about this. Whether intentional or
unintentional, it causes stress & problems. Don’t do it in #girc-ooc.

Hello Everyone -

Just a quick reminder that we are now into the last week to get a free
admission to ICC compliments of CCP. The hard deadline to RSVP is October
7th. If you have an ICC invitation you received at a convention please
either follow the instructions on the back or go to our Facebook page.

If you did not receive an invitation at a convention please go to our
Facebook page and leave a note in the comments section telling us what you
love most about the World of Darkness, The Camarilla, ICC or pretty much
anything vaguely related to the topic and get added to list for free
admittance to both ICC and The Succubus Club Halloween Bash.

http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=159941035139

We are currently at just over 500 RSVP’s not including CCP staff and
guests. This is the last week people, after the 7th everyone will have to
pay the regular admittance fee, lets blow this thing out!

If anyone has any questions please don’t hesitate to ask.

Cheers!
